Bridging the ‘Life’-care Gap: A Critical Mission for metropolitan Detroit's Urban Community.

Supporting food distribution and healthcare services with technology.

We are EDGE3 (Economic Development Group Environment Evolution Expansion), we are indigenous missionaries in an urban environment. It is our aim to provide healthcare and lunch services for an exremely vulnerable population ‘on the edge’. The Detroit Metro area faces a profound healthcare crisis that demands immediate and innovative intervention. We provide these services to all occupants of our urban community including but not limited to: the homeless, returning citizens, the unemployed, the under-employed, and the working poor. Within our extremely vulnerable underserved urban population, a devastating combination of limited healthcare access, food desserts, and underutilization of available free services has created a perfect storm of preventable health complications. Our mission addresses this critical gap by developing a comprehensive communication system that connects community members with existing mobile healthcare and food services, ultimately saving lives and reducing the burden of chronic disease.
